Military education options:
Train part time, study full time
The military offers opportunities for students to earn money for their education while serving active duty. Each branch of the service offers opportunities for students to attend college full time, while earning money for college and a part-time income. The National Guard and the Reserves offer many benefits for students who want to attend college full time, including money for tuition and fees. Additionally you also get paid during your training and part-time service.
Because the National Guard and Reserves offer many of the same jobs available in active duty, you’ll also receive career training that you can use to land a job outside of the military. Career information sites such as Virginia Career VIEW (www.vaview.vt.edu/) will show you what jobs are offered in the military and how they correspond with careers in the civilian world.
