Alion Science and Technology Inc., a McLean technology company, opened a regional headquarters in Charlotte, N.C., to provide consulting services to commercial and government clients in the Southeastern U.S. (Business Wire)

Bostwick Laboratories, a Richmond-based provider of medical laboratory services, will invest $4.6 million to expand its Henrico County facility, creating 600 jobs over the next three years. Bostwick specializes in urological pathology and management of prostate cancer. (News release)
