Albemarle Corp., a Richmond-based producer of
specialty chemicals, opened a regional sales office in
Dubai to market catalysts, polymer additives and other
products to growing markets in India and the Middle East

individuals, will invest $12 million in an expansion
of its American Funds customer service center in Chesapeake
. The project will create 250 jobs. Capital Group employs

H2Gen Innovations Inc. of Alexandria , a manufacturer
of hydrogen generators and gas purification systems,
will expand its production lines to meet increased orders

Hanson Pipe & Precast Inc., a Chesapeake-based
manufacturer of concrete pipes and building products,
will invest $16.9 million to expand its plant in Cavalier
Industrial Park . No new jobs will be created, but new
equipment will allow Hanson to increase the size of pipe
