AOL LLC, a Dulles-based Internet services provider, bought The Relegence Corp., a provider of financial news and real-time information services headquartered in New York. Relegence will operate as a subsidiary of AOL in its quest for new online content and products. (Business Wire)

Science Applications International Corp., a San Diego IT company, acquired Applied Marine Technology Inc. of Virginia Beach, a provider of professional and technical services on homeland security and the war against terrorism.
