Spectrum Sciences & Software Holdings Corp., a Falls Church-based technology company, sold its Canadian subsidiary, M&M Engineering, to a partnership made up of M&M management for $5.1 million. The two companies were not considered a strategic fit. (PRNewswire)

Universal Corp. of Richmond sold the non-tobacco business of its Deli Universal Inc. subsidiary to NIBC Principal Investments of the Netherlands for $540 million. The move is intended to help sharpen Universal’s focus on its core business. Deli’s non-tobacco business included lumber and building products, rubber, food trading, tea and sunflower seeds.
