FHC Health Systems, a Norfolk-based
provider of health care services, sold its Alternative
Behavioral Services subsidiary to Psychiatric Services
of Franklin, Tenn. for $250 million. The transaction
will include facilities in Hampton Roads, Kentucky, South
Carolina, Puerto Rico and the Virgin
Islands. FHC plans to concentrate on growing its managed
care business unit, ValueOptions, and other smaller companies it owns. (The
