Designer Wood Tile & Finishing Inc. will open a facility to manufacture hardwood-flooring products in Russell County. The company, owned by Russell County businesses Clinch Mountain Hardwood Flooring and Leonard Companies, will create 155 jobs through the $4.2 million investment. Virginia competed with Kentucky, North Carolina and Tennessee for the facility. (Press release)

Lindlab Inc., a Swedish manufacturer of sheet metal products, will move its U.S. headquarters to Portsmouth from Stamford, Conn. The company, which already employs about 115 workers in Portsmouth, will invest $6 million in the move and expects to hire 57 workers over the next three years. (The Virginian-Pilot)

Mutual Telecom Services Inc. of Needham, Mass., will open a facility in Amherst County, consolidating its operations in Lynchburg and Nelson County. The company will invest $1.25 million in the new facility, which will employ 35 to 40 people in high-tech positions. (The News & Advance)

Tecton Products LLC of Fargo, N.D., will open a plant in Roanoke County to manufacture composite products for window and door products. The $6.5 million investment will create 58 jobs. Virginia completed against North Dakota for the project. (Press release)

TWM Cabling Solutions Inc. of Providence, N.C., will invest $1.6 million in Danville for an operation to manufacture wire and cable assemblies. Virginia competed with North Carolina for the investment, which will create 50 jobs. (Press release
