How many parking spaces will you need? What about access to public transportation? Do you need to be located in a high-profile submarket near vendors or business partners? Submarkets often vary substantially in terms of accessibility, visibility and affordability. You should also consider whether the location is close to community colleges, universities and residential neighborhoods.

Third, Think Features
Finally, it is important to understand not only how much space your business needs, but what features are important. Do you need flexibility to accommodate growth? What building features and amenities are important? What do employees expect, need and want? Do you need redundant power, break rooms and large floor plates for cubicles? Analyzing current and future needs is crucial in selecting the ideal space for your business.
