A Traditional Full Service Family Center
Strange's Florists, Greenhouses and Garden Centers is a traditional full service family owned business serving the Richmond Area since the 1930's when the company was started by Gideon A. Strange. William J. Gouldin Sr. and a partner purchased the business following Mr. Strange's death in 1948. Mr. Gouldin became the sole proprietor about 10 years later. His sons, Bill, Cary, and Craig came into the business in the early 1970s and are the current owners.
Strange's currently serves Richmond from five florists, two garden centers, and a production greenhouse range where we grow our own plants.
Strange's West Broad Street location recently underwent an expansion. It includes over 110,000 square feet of indoor floral, greenhouse and nursery products plus over 350 paved parking spaces for convenient shopping. Strange's is also the largest grower/retailer of premium grade poinsettias in Central Virginia. During the holiday season, come visit and enjoy our colorful 65,000 square feet (a football field full) of poinsettias in every variety and size.
